Mumbai - Nashik Expressway Private Limited (MNEPL)

Mumbai Nashik Expressway Private Ltd. (MNEL) is a 99.5 km operational toll road in the state of Maharashtra. The project operates under a 20-year concession, awarded by NHAI after competitive bidding in 2005-06 for widening of the existing two-lane road to a four-lane divided carriageway on Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis.

MNEL has designed, engineered and constructed the Project highway and is responsible for toll collection, operation and maintenance of the stretch for the period of concession. The project, built at a total cost of around INR 579 crore, commenced operations in May 2009 and has been collecting toll at 2 Toll Plazas for last 9 years.

The project road traverses through plane / rolling / terrain alignments except for Kasara Ghat location where it is aligned through hilly terrain.The influence areas include the district borders of Thane/Kalyan, Pune, Ahmednagar and Palghar. Industries along the highway include logistics, industrial pipe manufacturing, stone quarrying, etc. Additionally the project road is a growing warehousing hub with new warehouses being setup and commissioned near Padgha & Shahpur.
